Well, tomorrow at 5:00 am, Wes Wilmer, Mark Fisk, and I will be headed to the airport to head off to Atlanta and then to Senegal Africa. We will be spending a week in Senegal and then a Week in Mali. I honestly don’t know all that we will be doing while we are there and am going into this trip with an open mind. I know that we will be observing and encouraging the missionaries in this area. Please pray for us that we will be an encouragement to those we come in contact with and that we would be changed in our thinking about the world at large. I can’t wait to share stories.
Steve Jobs of Apple Inc. (formerly Apple Computer Inc.) announced that all the rumors of an apple cell phone are real and that the actual product is way more amazing than any of the rumors and the “mock-ups” that people have dreamed up. It looks like the first multi-use phone that it actually intuitive and “smart” and easy to use for anyone. They have more than 200 patents in this thing! It comes in either 4G or 8G, and runs OSX. It has WiFi and runs a full web browser as opposed to the usual “baby browser”. The downsides are that it is only going to be available to Cingular users. The other thing is the price. It is $499 and $599. I don’t think I will be getting one, although It would be amazing. The thing that I am excited about is that most likely they will be coming out with an ipod that uses the same touch screen technology as well as widescreen capabilities! i am excited for this since my iPod is completely full and seems to be getting past it’s prime. I will hang on to what i have until it dies on me, but when it does, It looks like there will be some pretty amazing options in the iPod world. By the way, the iPhone doesn’t come out til June, so don’t get too excited yet. I just can’t wait to go to the apple store and play with it.
